Basia Diug

Basia is a PhD student and a research assistant at the Centre for Research Excellence in Patient Safety. She has recently graduated a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with honours from Monash University.

Over the last year Basia has completed her honours and worked within the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine. She completed her honours under Dr Bebe Loff. Her thesis investigated the challenges that the avian influenza presents for the global community highlighting the importance of human rights issues as well as world trade.

Basia is currently undertaking her PhD which is aimed at improving the care management of patients being treated with warfarin.
