Ben Clissold

Ben Clissold graduated in Medicine from Monash University in 1996 and went on to internship and residency at the Monash Medical Centre / Southern Health. He embarked on physician training, completing the FRACP examination process in 2003 and the formal clinical training in the specialty of Neurology in 2005.  Since the beginning of 2006, he has had positions at the Geelong Hospital / Barwon Health and the Monash Medical Centre as a consultant neurologist.

His main clinical area of interest is stroke medicine, and he is beginning a PhD revolving around developing a system based approach to management of stroke, by analyzing hospital and ambulance datasets.  The aim of his PhD is to understand patterns of local management of stroke patients, potentially leading to models which might improve this into the future.
