The key areas of research are:

Using data to monitor quality of care
Mission: to develop and maintain data and tools to measure health care quality and to facilitate data use and translation into useable information by external and internal stakeholders to inform decision making and quality improvement processes.

Improving information transfer
Mission: To identify barriers to effective transfer of information between healthcare workers across care boundaries and to implement and evaluate strategies to promote effective handover and referral.

Patient Safety
Mission: to promote effective, evidenced based and patient-centred care through research, information, dissemination, tool development and promotion of decision support processes.

Medication Safety
