2005 Seminar Series
Bristol 10 Years - What's changed and where are we going? - Wednesday 14th December 2005
Bristol catapulted safety and quality to the top of the agenda by targeting a hospital and revealing what, to many, would be their own hospital’s vulnerabilities. In response to growing awareness of the human cost of medical error, organisations were established within Australia and internationally to develop a comprehensive approach to improving patient safety. In Australia, the Australian Council for Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) was established to lead national efforts to improve the safety and quality of healthcare.
So what have we learned, are we safer today than we were ten years ago and what does the future hold for the quality agenda?
